Who are BuyVansCheaper.co.uk?
BuyVansCheaper are a rapidly expanding supplier of light commercial vehicles to the retail and public trade alike. We sell pre-registered vans and occasionally some nearly new vans and part-exchanges at amazing prices. Since our inception in 2003, we have been committed to providing customers with the best deals available on light commercial vehicles coupled with outstanding customer service. We have numerous returning customers and have gained many new customers from referrals through our knowledgeable and experienced sales team.
How do I know that I can trust you?
BuyVansCheaper sells over 200 pre-registered vans each month. We are a fully registered and limited company regulated by the laws of England and Wales. All our company details are available for everyone to see on the Companies House website. As for your personal information, we won’t disclose your details to anyone, unless asked to do so by the police or fraud prevention agencies to combat fraud. We adhere strictly to the data protection act and we have an in house data protection officer, Dave Shoebridge, who is registered with the Information Commissioners Office. All personal data is stored within the legislation of the Data Protection Act.

VANS
Can I come down and have a test drive?
Unfortunately we do not offer test drives for our vehicles. All our vehicles are kept in manufacturers compounds and we do not call them off and register them until the vehicle has been allocated to a customer. This keeps our holding costs down allowing us to maintain our low prices. However, if you do want to come down to our office in Sussex, please feel free to come and visit us where we can answer any questions you may have.
Are all your vans new?
Typically most of the vans we provide are new. They will only have the "delivery" mileage on the clock. ‘Delivery Mileage’ is determined as the mileage from the supplier, to you. They have never been driven by anyone else, as we don't offer test drives and they will have never carried a load. The van you choose may have been registered by us or another company in our group (this is often a condition of BuyVansCheaper.co.uk purchasing these vans so cheaply), so you may actually be the 2nd owner on the logbook, but the van will be brand new. Again, check the website or call us. Some vans may be pre-registered by a UK dealer and we have purchased these vans to take them off their hands at prices well below UK supply cost. In addition we may occasionally have used vehicles available which we have taken in part-exchange. These can be viewed on our website.
Where do you source your vans from?
We source our vans from many well-known dealer groups, franchises and manufacturers. Every month these companies will register huge amounts of stock to meet registration targets. Through our extensive industry relationships and huge buying power we are able to secure these vehicles with massive savings off of the list price. As a rule of thumb we don’t ever buy vans from outside the UK. This means that none of our vans are grey or parallel imports and our vans will always have the manufacturers UK warranty to back up any problems you may have. Depending on the model of vehicle you have chosen, the vehicle will also come with a manufacturer’s breakdown package lasting between 12 months and 3 years! Because there are hardly any advertising costs, salesman's commissions, showrooms or stocking costs, and because our overheads are a tiny fraction of a Main Dealer's costs, we can pass these savings on to you resulting in very attractive new van prices.
What if I need more information about a van that I have seen on your website?
For general details of the particular model, visit a franchised dealer to look at or drive an equivalent van or to get a brochure. Dealers love to give out brochures and do test drives, but you may want to withhold the fact that you are actually going to buy the van from BuyVansCheaper.co.uk. Dealers are not totally stupid, and if you tell them you may buy from us then they will probably refuse a test drive. Can I negotiate on the price?

Remember to check the small print from other brokers or dealers; does the price include their delivery pack; remember to ask about all their "indemnity fees" and additional charges to put a van on the road. Can I add any factory options?
It is possible to have manufacturers extras fitted to your new vehicle although this may mean that your van will be a factory order. This will always increase the lead-time and in some cases this can be 10-12 weeks. The vans are usually well specified and we list the standard equipment on the website. Some vans actually have more equipment than standard.
Can I get a van that isn’t shown on your website?
Yes. Through strong supply relationships, we are able to acquire almost any van that you may need. Some are harder to get than others and therefore may take longer or be slightly more expensive. The best option is to fill in an enquiry form or pick up the phone and just ask and we will do the rest. I’d like to buy my van on finance. Can you arrange this?
Yes, BuyVansCheaper.co.uk has relations with some of the biggest finance companies in the country that include Commercial Vehicle Finance Ltd, Lombard, ING Asset Finance, Arval PHH and Lex. We also have access to second tier lenders who may be able to help if your credit history is not as good as it could be! Through this network of funders, we are able to offer every conceivable finance package available from hire purchase and lease through to contract hire with and without maintenance, all at very competitive finance rates. How do I order my new van?
Once you have chosen your new van, we will send you an order pack. This contains a letter outlining the procedure that we will follow to deliver your new van to you smoothly and hassle free. There will also be an order form in the pack. This will detail which vehicle you have chosen so that both supplier and buyer know exactly what vehicle and accessories are to be provided. If you have chosen to have your new van financed by us your finance documents will also be included.
Will I have to pay a deposit?
Once you have chosen your van and signed our order form we will ask you for a deposit. For all vehicle purchases we will ask for a non-refundable deposit of £500. We will also ask you to pay for any factory options you have selected and any retro-fitted accessories. This deposit can be paid either on a debit or credit card
Why is the deposit non-refundable?
Once we have received your deposit and signed order form, we will order your vehicle from the dealer. Having placed the order, the ball is rolling and we are under obligation to take the vehicle. Your deposit shows your commitment to taking delivery of your new van. If you decide to cancel your order, the £500 deposit will be used to cover holding and interest charges as well as administration costs.
When do I need to pay the balance for my van?
BuyVansCheaper.co.uk must receive cleared funds before the vehicle can be released. You can pay any outstanding balance in the usual ways. We accept all major debit and credit cards as well as cheque or BACS & CHAPS payment transfers. Unfortunately, using a credit card will incur and 2.5% charge on the value of the payment. This is a cost charged to us by the credit card machine supplier. If paying by cheque, we will ask that the cheque clears before we deliver your vehicle. Arrangements can be made for you to pay with a bankers draft upon collection if you are collecting the van from us. We will confirm the exact procedure, after you have paid your deposit. Please note we will not deliver any van under any circumstance unless it has been paid for in full, either by the customer or by the finance company.
DELIVERY
Is delivery free?
All our vans include free delivery anywhere in the UK. We can get your new van to you in a number of different ways;
a) Driven to your door or place of work by one of our experienced drivers;
b) Delivered by trailer – this will incur an additional cost
c) Self collect from our office in Sussex.
When can I get my van?
After you have paid your deposit and signed and returned any finance documents (if applicable) we will contact you with a timescale. This will typically be 7-10 working days from the receipt of your signed order form and deposit. If you require the vehicle sooner, we may be able to speed things along, please ask at the time of ordering. If your vehicle is a factory order, this time scale can increase to 8-12 weeks but we will keep you informed of all developments as they occur. Although we will do our best to stay within our estimated delivery time, certain forces are beyond our control and delays can occur. If this is the case we will do our utmost to deliver the vehicle to you as quickly as possible.
Can I set a specific date for delivery?
Yes, of course. You can arrange this with us, providing it lies within a reasonable timescale. Please remember that this may be subject to slight variations due to road or traffic conditions and weekends or bank holidays.
WARRANTY
What is the warranty on my van?
You get the manufacturers warranty for the model you have selected, from the date of purchase or registration. The van may already be registered, so the date of registration may not be the date you take delivery. Other benefits (AA/RAC/Green Flag cover, etc) may be in force, as per the manufacturer’s terms. Please check the individual model's details on the website or give us a call if you would like this to be confirmed.
What if my van breaks down?
Call the recovery service nominated by the manufacturer, which usually comes as part of the warranty. Your van is covered under the terms of their warranty. Hopefully you won’t have to use it. Brand new vans don't break down very often these days!
What if my van has a warranty problem?
Take your van to a franchised UK dealer for your particular make and model and service will be provided under the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, exactly as in any other case. Any franchised UK dealer for your particular make of van can obtain warranty payments for their work from the manufacturer, exactly as in any other case.
Where do I get my new van serviced?
Take your van to any franchised UK dealer for your particular make and model, and they will always take your money. A manufacturers’ agent anywhere in Europe, including the UK, will always do the fiddly bits under the bonnet, exactly as in any other case. Alternatively, you can now have your van serviced at any VAT registered garage without breaking the terms of your warranty. Different manufacturers have different views on this so it’s important to know and understand your specific manufacturer’s conditions.
